- Chartered Building Consultancies and Chartered Construction Management Consultancies offer a range of services to meet your needs in planning your project and throughout all stages of the construction process and beyond.

What does it take to become a CIOB Chartered company?
CIOB Chartered companies must prove that they are run by experienced, qualified managers committed to the values of professionalism, integrity and accountability.
To qualify, they must provide comprehensive evidence of meeting CIOB’s eligibility criteria and undergo an independent assessment every five years - which means you can be assured of their ongoing professionalism, integrity and accountability:
- 50% of the Board of Directors must be Chartered members of a recognised professional institute, and at least one must be a Chartered member of CIOB (MCIOB or FCIOB)
- The company must designate a Chartered member of CIOB from their Board of Directors as Responsible Officer
- The company must have been trading for at least two years
- All staff engaged in the management of the construction process must have achieved or be working towards appropriate qualifications following national or CIOB standards
- Staff must keep up to date on current thinking and developments appropriate to their responsibilities
- Professional staff must undertake sufficient study and personal development to maintain their professional registrations
- The company must abide by the CIOB Code of Professional Conduct
- The company must ensure that the people they employ are appropriately competent
- The company must always meet the requirements of their CIOB Chartered company status
