Shieldfield Three Towers - Site Visit

Summary

Equans is delighted to be partnering with Your Homes Newcastle to lead on the refurbishment of three tower blocks in Shieldfield, Newcastle. Works will include the installation of energy efficiency measures and other internal improvements to homes.

Specifically, works will include:

• Re-covering of the roof

• Installation of Air Source Heat Pumps and new heating systems

• Renewing windows

• Installation of External Wall Insulation with rendered finish

Existing gas heating system in each tower to be replaced with a roof mounted Air Source Heat Pump (ASHP).

Project to be delivered under PAS2035 , PAS2030.

Contract Value is £17M.

The visit will involve :-

Tea, Coffee and Biscuits

A presentation from the team on the different aspects of the development /build

Tour of the site facilities

Overview of the development with Q&A

The site office is located just off Shield Street NE2 1XY and the What3words is - ///racing.civil.agrees

There is no parking on site but the local pay and display is at the university building next door.

Places limited to 20.

Full PPE is required - Hat, Hi-Vis Jacket, Glasses, Gloves and Boots.
