Summary
The Procurement Act 2023 is aimed at shaking up public procurement by introducing new procurement procedures & new transparency requirementsThe question on the minds of many is how much the new Act will alter the day to day running of procurement processes, and where the risks lie in ensuring compliance in this new landscape.
This CPD will break down some of the major changes under the Act and the new National Procurement Policy Statement, and what they mean for both contracting authorities and suppliers.

Daniel Scanlon
Director
Daniel is a Director specialising in high value, complex construction disputes. His clients include state bodies, developers, contractors, and design team professionals.
Daniel also advises on public procurement challenges and disputes and is part of the firm’s dedicated Public Procurement Group.
Daniel regularly represents clients in adjudications, and before the Courts (in particular the Technology and Construction Court in London) and before the Courts in Ireland. Daniel regularly handles arbitrations both domestic and international with a particular focus on the Middle East.
Daniel also advises on various types of construction related insurance disputes with a particular focus on professional negligence.
