The Chartered Institute of Building and the Lighthouse Club are teaming up for Mental Health Awareness Week to offer a series of free, live webinars to the construction community.
The webinars will run across the week, from Monday to Friday, with a different topic each day. The partnership is being announced a week after the CIOB launched their report “Understanding Mental Health in the Built Environment”, produced to highlight the state of mental health in the industry and raise awareness of the “silent crisis” that affects many in the construction sector.
The series starts on Monday afternoon with a session on work-life balance. The webinars will cover:
•Build a Work Life Balance – Monday 18 May 2020, 1.30 - 2.30 p.m.
•How to Handle Stress – Tuesday 19 May, 1.30 - 2.30 p.m.
•Mindfulness for you – Wednesday 20 May, 1.30 - 2.30 p.m.
•Top Tips for Resilience – Thursday 21 May, 1.30 - 2.30 p.m.
•How to Meditate – Friday 22 May, 1.40 - 2.40 p.m.
Bill Hill, CEO of the Lighthouse Club, said: “We're proud to be partnering with the CIOB to ensure that as many people as possible can access these free online wellbeing courses, being delivered to support Mental Health Awareness Week."
The CIOB’s CEO, Caroline Gumble, said: “This will be of great value to our community of members. Mental health is a hugely important issue in our industry and now, more than ever, an emphasis on wellbeing is needed. I’m also very happy to be teaming up with the Lighthouse Club on this initiative and I thank them for allowing us to share these resources with our members free of charge.”
