CIOB and Hill to provide help with issues affecting the construction industry

The latest in the acclaimed CIOB / Hill Masterclass series has been announced for 10th March in Brisbane and 12th March in Melbourne.

This year marks the fifteenth anniversary of the Masterclass series, having established a proven record of providing CPD and education for construction and legal professionals, combining expert speakers with relevant content, the Masterclasses aim to provide crucial information for all those in the construction sector.

The events, appropriate for all involved in the construction industry, tackle issues associated with the aftermath of the economic downturn and successfully manage disputes and their resolution.
The Masterclass in Australia will deal with a range of issues, such as changes in legislation, analyzing and assessing delay, and managing disputes. Each event contains a day and half of speakers from a range of law firms including Corrs, Chambers Westgarth, King & Wood Mallesons, and Minter Ellison, coming together to work with international experts discussing the latest topics in construction and the law over two days.

“Hill International and CIOB have been successfully running Masterclasses for fifteen years now.” said Stuart Wilks, Senior Manager, Hill International. “Over US$7Bn is estimated to be lost in construction disputes each year. The Masterclass hopes to enable delegates to learn to deal with procurement, disputes and latest technological and legal developments, while also offering invaluable networking opportunities”.

Described in the past as, "The best course I have attended" and "perfectly organised classes", the Masterclass provides the perfect opportunity to meet experts and industry colleagues, learn what the  law looks for in dispute resolution, save money and avoid costly disputes and legal fees.
