Professional Review
Your final step to achieving Chartered Membership
The final step to gaining Chartered Membership for most candidates is the Professional Review.
What is the Professional Review?
The Professional Review is an assessment process to evaluate candidates' knowledge, experience, and competence in the field of construction management. It is final step for individuals seeking to achieve Chartered Membership (MCIOB), which signifies professional recognition and adherence to high standards in the construction industry.
Academic requirements and experience requirements:
You will need to have met the academic eligibility requirements, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience (5 years if your qualification is not in the built environment or is a non-honours degree) before starting your application. You will need to hold a Level 6 (degree) level qualification or higher to be academically eligible. If you have an NVQ level 7/SCQF level 11 in Construction Senior Management, then you may be eligible to apply for the shortened PR. The qualification must have been certificated within the last 3 years and your assessor must be MCIOB.
Membership:
You must already be a non-chartered member (Applicant) of the CIOB. If you aren't an Applicant member yet, you will need to register for an online account and then apply for membership. Start the process here.
